The second meeting of the MedSecurance project took place from May 10 to 12, 2023, at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, providing a productive opportunity for the project’s progress. Participants focused on the development of deliverables related to the security and reliability of medical devices. More specifically, the following activities took place:

  • WP1 Workshops: The discussions led by CEA and the University of Warwick addressed the analysis and modeling of medical device architectures and risk assessment methods. Proposed outlines, contributions, and next steps were reviewed and discussed.
  • WP2 Presentations: Use case scenarios, including remote patient monitoring and portable PCR testing, were presented and analyzed by partners such as BioAssist and Stab Vida. Requirements and priorities for these systems were examined.
  • Strategic Planning: Next steps for the development of security tools were outlined, with a specific focus on automated security analysis and assurance for IoMT.

The meeting concluded with a review of the results and the establishment of future steps. The project continues with the goal of enhancing security solutions for medical devices.
