The partners of the MedSecurance project held their first meeting on January 19-20, hosted by The Open Group in Brussels. During the meeting, the research and development partners presented the technologies that will contribute to the development of new methods, tools, and techniques for improving the security and assurance of connected medical devices (IoMT). Additionally, the five partners involved in the industrial use case described the medical devices and hospital systems, highlighting the improvements needed for security and enhanced assurance during the development of IoMT for their respective healthcare and service environments.
The meeting also addressed the planning of the project’s first deliverables, which will focus on the analysis and modeling of medical device architectures, risk and vulnerability analysis methods, as well as the documentation and prioritization of requirements from industrial devices and healthcare providers. These requirements will guide the project’s research and development activities over the next three years.
