Across Europe, cities are under pressure to address complex, interconnected challenges—climate change, health inequalities, and social exclusion. The HEART project (Healthier Cities Through Blue-Green Regenerative Technologies), funded by the EU, is working to reshape urban planning around sustainability, livability, and public health.

We invite you to take part in the upcoming online Consensus-Building Workshop, which brings together urban planners, public health professionals, policymakers, and civil society representatives.

🗓️Date: July 4, 2025
🕒Time: 13:30 – 15:00 (CEST)
🌐Location: Online

The focus of the event will be the Health-Centered Planning Matrix (HCPM)—a planning tool developed by HEART that uses AI and clinical/public health data to promote Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in cities. Initially tested in Aarhus (Denmark), Attica (Greece), and Belgrade (Serbia), the goal is now to scale its use across Europe.

The workshop will include:

  • A presentation of the HCPM tool and its core recommendations
  • Examples of how urban planning adjustments can enhance city livability
  • Group discussion on aligning with EU policy and scaling across regions

This is an opportunity to contribute to a growing movement toward healthier, greener, and more inclusive urban environments.
