The HEART project (Healthier Cities Through Blue-Green Regenerative Technologies), funded by the EU, is working to reshape urban planning around sustainability, livability, and public health.

The focus of the event will be the Health-Centered Planning Matrix (HCPM)—a planning tool developed by HEART that uses AI and clinical/public health data to promote Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in cities. Initially tested in Aarhus (Denmark), Attica (Greece), and Belgrade (Serbia), the goal is now to scale its use across Europe.
The workshop will include:
- A presentation of the HCPM tool and its core recommendations
- Examples of how urban planning adjustments can enhance city livability
- Group discussion on aligning with EU policy and scaling across regions
